F-UHRT Information
The Friends of the Upper Hudson Rail Trail, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation. Its purpose is to encourage the development of a rail trail from North Creek to Tahawus, using the corridor created during WWII to service the titanium mine at Tahawus. After the trail is established, the Friends will help provide operational support and encourage improvements.
The organization is governed by bylaws, which provide for a Board of Directors elected by its members and Officers selected by the Board. An annual meeting is held in May.
Formed in late 2009, the organization is seeking additional Board members and Officer candidates. Board members currently include Curt Austin (President), Dave King (IT), Kim Olden (Ride Coordinator), Greg Taylor (Development) and Maria Dwyer (Treasurer).
Membership in F-UHRT is open to anyone who supports its purpose.
